Side view of sculpture of the archangel, Michael in armor on the Monument to the Battle of the Nations designed by German architect, Bruno Schmitz and completed in 1913 to commemorate Napoleon's defeat at Leipzig, Germany in 1813. The sculptures were created by Christian Behrens and Franz Metzner, the Michael sculpture stands 39 feet tall. Photo by Detroit architect, Albert Kahn. The word, "Leipzig" is hand written on front of photograph.
