Description
View of two abstract figures entitled, "Mirage I and Mirage II" by Elisabeth Frink at the Meijer Sculpture Gardens in Grand Rapids, Michigan. "Created as a result of an open commission by Lord McAlpine in 1969, Mirage I and Mirage II are based on Frink’s exploration of surrealistic walking bird forms. Originally cast in aluminum and later translated into bronze, the sculptures are a testament to the artist’s interest in forms and texture"--Meijer Sculpture Gardens website.
