Description
View of the Street of Facades at Petra, Jordan. "... one of the strangest conglomerations of monuments in Petra ... they form the most remarkable collection of Assyrian I and II facades in Petra ... most of them have simple carved slots above the door, though one or two do boast a primitive classical pediment ... To the right there are one or two later Double Cornice I types with the single-divided crow-steps and much more assured classical features,"--Petra by Iain Browning, 1989.
