Description
View from the beach of the Thomas Hardy house in Racine, Wisconsin designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1905. "Wright had contempt for houses that were designed in European revival styles, as were many of the homes on Main Street. Hardy's house looks like no other in Racine. It has no ornamentation beyond its leaded glass windows and plain, brown wood trim,"--from Frank Lloyd Wright's Hardy House by Mark Hertzberg.
