Description
View of the P.D. Hoyt house in Geneva, Illinois designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1906. "The building is a square plan with stucco surface … entry is directly to the right side of the living room from a 17 foot pergola lined with flower boxes and surmounted by trellis work; the house is made square by having an office to the right and a pantry to the rear. Thus, the chimney, centered in the living room is off-center for the plan as a whole,"--from The Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright: A Complete Catalog, by William Allin Storrer, Frank Lloyd Wright.
