Description
Street level view of the Church of Panaghia Kapnikarea in Athens, Greece. "The church was built from the 11th to the 13th centuries at the site of an earlier temple to Athena or Demeter, and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It was probably named after the donor who funded the construction. The church is built on a square plan with a dome resting on four columns, and an exonarthex with three pitched roofs in the back,"--GettDigital: Gettysburg College Digital Collections.
