Description
View of the three bays with vaults of the Basilica of Maxentius and Constantine the largest building in the Roman Forum. "Today only the north aisle consisting of three barrel-vaulted compartments still exists. The grand apse was added by Constantine to face the new entrance he added at the center of the long south side,"--by Mary Ann Sullivan, Bluffton University.
