"There are people in this equation called life that we refuse to see. They're not part of the equation, according to some people. So, I found myself wanting to talk about this. Even what's happening here in this city [Detroit], you look at how this explosion has taken place, and people are coming back, and there's going to be some people that are going to be left behind. you can see the transprency in the paintings.
