Description

View of two floors of Terrace House 6 at Ephesus, Turkey with frescoes on upper story walls. "The houses were built on the slopes of Bulbul Dagi, so that each house served as the terrace of the next house on the slope … Each house had a door which opened onto the side street from a terrace and a peristyle (courtyard) surrounded by rooms. Most of these houses were three-storeyed, and the courtyards in the centre measured between 25-50 metres,"--Ephesus Ruins and Museum by Selahattin Erdemgil, NET Turistik Yayinlar, 1986.
