Detail view of large inscribed cornice at the Trajan Fountain in Ephesus, Turkey. "…located at the north end of Curetes Street, and according to an inscription unearthed, it was constructed between 102 and 114 and dedicated to Emperor Trajan (98-117). The dedicatory inscription is on a large cornice located today next to the fountain"--Ephesus Ruins and Museum by Salhattin Erdemgil, Net Turistik Yayinlar, 1986.
