Description
View of columned parapet in front of the Temple of Domitian at Ephesus, Turkey. "The podium on which the temple was erected measured 24 by 34 meters, and it was surrounded by an eight-stepped crepis … the temple was a small prostyle ( a temple preceded by a porch with columns) and had eight columns on the short sides and thirteen columns on the long sides. Also, in front of the cella which measured 9 by 17 meters, there were four columns. The altar was located 10 meters in front of the cella and had a cornered "U" shaped plan and steps leading up to it"--Ephesus Ruins and Museum by Salhattin Erdemgil, Net Turistik Yayinlar, 1986.
