Description
Detail view of stained glass windows inside St. John's Abbey Church in Collegeville, Minnesota designed by Marcel Breuer and completed in 1961. "When the church was built, the hexagon or honeycomb window was one of the largest stained glass structures in the world. Designed by university faculty member artist, Bronislaw Bak (1922-1981), the stained glass was assembled by monks, faculty, students and other volunteers in the abbey's defunct dairy barns, the herds having been sold off a few years earlier,"--St. John's Abbey website.
