Description
View of the Taj Mahal in Agra, India with reflecting pool and minarets. "Two marble channels filled with water and studded with fountains intersect the middle of the complex, dividing the garden into four separate areas. Intersecting pathways divide each of these four areas into four more. A large central pool sits in the center, where the water channels intersect. This pool and the main water chamber (which runs north and south between the main gate and the tomb) were designed to perfectly reflect the Taj Mahal,"--The Taj Mahal, by Lesley A. DuTemple.
