Description
Detail view of relief depicting scenes from the First Dacian War on Trajan's columns thought to have been designed by Apollodoros of Damascus in Rome, Italy. "The first five scenes on the Column of Trajan depict Roman soldiers on the banks of the Danube River, poised to begin their attack on Dacian soil. This group of scenes ends with the crossing of the Roman Army over the Danube River,"--from Trajan's Column in Rome, Dartmouth College website.
