Description
View of column in corridor at the west wing entrance of the Palace of Minos with view of relief of the reconstructed "Prince of the Lillies." "It was in one of the basement rooms underneath the last stretch of corridor that Evans found the fragments of the so-called Prince of the Lilies. He felt certain that it must have marked the end of the entrance to the court but current thinking is that the pieces belonged to more than one figure and Evans’ restoration is wrong"--Odyssey Adventures in Archaeology website.
